Joyce Maureen (McGee) Koppenheffer

December 9, 1947 - July 7, 2025

Rancho Mirage, California - Joyce M. Koppenheffer (née McGee) of North Kansas City, passed into the great unknown on July 7th, joining her husband Edward Koppenheffer; her former husband, Gerald Reese; her parents Weldon and Verneta McGee; and older brother Robert McGee. Joyce, lovingly known as MeeMee by those closest to her, found comfort in her mortality through her years as a nurse, as a caregiver for her elderly mother, and later through her personal work with ketamine psychedelic therapy while beating cancer. While her death comes with great sadness to those who cared for her through her final moments, it also comes with the satisfaction of knowing that Joyce had come to terms with her mortality and was able to face it with love, strength, courage, and serenity.
